Stepping Stones
All stepping stones are handcrafted using quality materials. No two stones are ever the same.
The glass is hand cut and ground to remove rough edges. It is then embedded in concrete using the indirect method (the concrete is poured over the glass). The concrete is specially formulated with additives to increase the strength, flexibility, and durability of the stepping stone. The stepping stone then cures for a minimum of three weeks and is sealed for additional protection from the elements. With proper care stepping stones will last a lifetime.
Yes, you can walk on them. I do caution, that the glass is slippery when wet. When used as a walkway I recommend using decorative stepping stones in conjunction with plain concrete stepping stones.
Fused Glass
Fused glass is layers of glass that are heated in a kiln and fused together. I fuse an assortment of platters, bowls, and small windows. I often incorporated fused glass pieces into windows and stepping stones. This allows for a great range of detail and added interest.
Stained Glass Windows, Suncatchers, and Panels
I use the tiffany style or copper foil method for all my stained glass pieces. The glass is hand cut, and ground to smooth rough edges. Then glass is then foiled with copper foil and soldered together. I often add a black patina to the solder lines. The pieces are then framed in either came or wood. I charge $75.00 per square foot for windows and panels with less than 60 pieces. Any window with more than 60 pieces, or fused components will be more expensive per square foot. The price will be determined according to difficulty of the pattern. I do take custom orders for windows, I do not install the windows.
